Feliz P Day! Wow what a week, where do I start???
Last pday after writing and dropping off Hermana Bissell was pure craziness and a few tears but all is well. I got to talk with Hermana Gonzalez for a long time too before she left and I love these sisters so much. They truly have changed my life.
But all is well in Los Prados, Hermana Conza is awesome! She is from the jungle of Peru. She is hilarious, sweet, loving, and hard working. She has 9 months in the mission and came from the south in Marcovia, Choluteca.
Our goal for baptisms this month is TWO, but always with the hope of thousands. We have some really positive investigators right now, we have 6 that could be baptized this month. But as there havent been baptisms here since november, we are going one step at a time trying to strengthen this ward. We prayed and thought about it for some time yesterday and really felt the confirmation that two baptisms is a good goal.
One thing that really made me happy this week is the Lopez Bustillo familia. They are a part member family that we have been working with, and need to get married in order to get baptized. We showed up on Saturday and were helping the hermana finish her work, and she said her and her husband have been making plans to get marred, SOON! We havent even taught the law of chastity or focused on getting them married, but the Spirit has been guiding them to make these righteous decisions. That was a testimony to me of the power of the Spirit in inspiring us to do good.
I studied the phrase "venid en pos de mi, y os haré pescadores de hombres" a lot this week. How perfect of a teacher was Jesus Christ? He saw men fishing, and was inspired to say a phrase that would directly apply to their lives and invite them to repent and become more like Him. A lot of times when I am in divisions we talk about the importance of "menos palabras, más poder", because it is something I so desperately want to acheive. Espero que algún día pueda yo llegar a ser una maestra al nivel del Maestro de los maestros, Jesucristo. El vive, su evangelio es sencillo, y realmente nos lleva hacia la vida eterna.
