77: Training Perfection

This week...I becaome a mom to two!

For my last two weeks I am also training Hermana Hall, a gringa from Utah. We are a full-on spanglish trio in Porvenir B. One speaks a little bit of english, one speaks a little bit of spanish, and Im in the middle helping them to learn and translate. Also, Hermana Dueñas will be the new nurse in the south, so Im training her on how to be a nurse. It has been a crazy week but I wouldnt have it any other way.

Estiven got baptized! It was beautiful, I would send pictures...but I forgot to bring my memory. My second to last email and I dont send pictures, que barbaridad Hermana Morgan. He is a true light, Im grateful to have played a role in helping him get baptized.

Toño is about to become the greatest Amulek Porvenir has ever had! Since his baptism he has invited all of his friends to church and taken us to their houses to teach them. My companions will have a lot of success with him, there is great power in local member missionary work.

I have been focusing my studies on my dependence on the Lord for all things. After all success in this life, how do we continue?

Mosiah 4:

11...would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingnessand his goodness and longsuffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humilitycalling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spokeby the mouth of the angel.
12 And behold, say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of Godand always retain a remission of your sinsand ye shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true.
13 And ye will not have mind to injure one another, but to live peaceablyand to render to every man according to thawhich is his due.
What magnificent, specific blessings promised for recognizing our dependence on the Lord. I desire to rejoice, to feel Gods love, to retain a remission of my sins, to grow in knowledge and walk peaceably. What more could I want? Each day, as I repent and prefect myself bit by bit, I rejoice! I have peace! I feel my Saviors love. I understand better now his sacrifice, He suffered, died, and now lives. I cannot have true peace unless I depend on Him who is mighty to save.

Hasta El Fin...

75: Meditar

"And it came to pass that Nephi went his way towards his own house, apondering upon the things which the Lord had shown unto him.

...and it came to pass as he was thus pondering in his heart, behold, a avoice came unto him saying:

Blessed art thou, Nephi, for those things which thou hast done; for I have beheld how thou hast with bunwearyingnessdeclared the word, which I have given unto thee, unto this people. And thou hast not feared them, and hast not sought thine cown life, but hast sought my dwill, and to keep my commandments.
And now, because thou hast done this with such unwearyingness, behold, I will bless thee forever; and I will make thee mighty in word and in deed, in faith and in works; yea, even that aall things shall be bdone unto thee according to thy cword, for thou shalt dnot ask that which is contrary to my will."

Do we take the time to ponder? What are the blessings that come as we ponder?

This has been one of my focuses this week. This talk and this article from the Liahona along with Helaman 10 have made me ponder on the principle of pondering.

Our Heavenly Father wants to talk to us, but what to we have to do? We need to wait and listen.

10 Be astill, and bknow that I am God: I will be cexalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Let us be still! Lets ponder and listen what God has to say to us.

(this computer doesnt send pictures...lo siento until next week)
